January is always a very busy month in the furniture trade. The Cologne Furniture Show and the British one at the NEC in Birmingham are a must to visit.  We noticed more interesting designs at the Cologne Show and in Birmingham an abundance of creativity to be admired in all the halls at the NEC.

Organise and de-clutter

January is always a perfect time for all of us to organise and de-clutter and a good start is when we are clearing away all the Christmas decorations. Rather than pack away everything into various boxes and bags, a good idea is to buy see through stackable boxes with lids on. Then in eleven months time when it is time to decorate once again for the festive season everything is accessable visibly.

We all start off the new year with good intentions and usually by the end of January our old habits are gradually slipping back into place. Try harder this year, no effort, no reward.
